說故事技巧：
1. 畫者將這十二樣禮物藏在畫裡，可以邊聽故事邊尋寶。對基督徒來說，這些禮物各代表著不同的意涵，但對於非基督徒家庭的孩子來說，從字面上來看這些禮物也可以是有趣、豐富的。
2. 這是一首聖誕頌歌，可以先上網學唱，再來說故事。若想引領著孩子一起唱，將數字以及"Five gold rings"留給孩子唱，孩子會比較有成就感，而當禮物累加時，也是考驗唱者記憶力的最佳時刻。
The Twelve Days of Christmas, Golden Press，1963這是一本四十多年前的「大眾版」圖畫書，但是它在當代的魅力應不輸給紙張好、圖畫精細、設計優良的現代圖畫書。畫者把禮物都排列整齊，是一本學習功能性高的圖畫書。
這一本是孩子們口中的"好笑版"。
