很遠的地方有個瘋婆子，猜猜她高不高？高！猜猜她瘦不瘦？瘦！猜猜...一連串的問題，越問越恐怖，猜猜那個瘋婆子兇惡嗎？...

說故事技巧：
1. 書中圖畫雖仔細、複雜，但問句簡單，都是是非題，也很好用肢體表示，所以在每頁末的"Guess!"之後，給孩子幾秒時間，他們也能判斷"yes or no"。
2. 最後結論是這瘋婆子並不兇惡，但是圖畫表現（她帶領著一位小女孩望向遠方，兩人都身穿類似女童軍的服裝），但是對幼兒來說，這結論並不好理解，或許得另加解釋。

巫婆吃蝙蝠，又愛尖叫，真的很可怕。不過，巫婆也怕那些提著南瓜燈、帶著大怪物頭的......到底哪一個比較可怕？

延伸活動：
1. 和孩子討論害怕的情緒。
2. 如果孩子說他們什麼都不怕，或怕的東西裡沒有「鬼」，那麼就可以邀請他們來玩"In the Dark Dark House"：（先布置環境，然後邀請孩子到戶外，開始遊戲）
