眼睛很重要，我們都有眼睛，眼睛有很多顏色，眼睛可以看高，也可以看低，......有關眼睛，Dr. Seuss都說得很有道理，當然也都押韻。

這隻母雞能看見別人所看不見的，當她才看到樹叢裡鑽出一個鼻子，她就開始驚嚇喊叫，但是她的伙伴們一直都不為所動，看到一個鼻子、兩個眼睛，她又叫了，但是伙伴們仍然覺得她大驚小怪。一直到最後一刻，母雞終於知道她所看見的、令她害怕的那一隻動物的真面目時，伙伴們也嚇得四處逃竄，有誰能來救他們呢？

說故事技巧：
這本書非常好說，字句不但簡單，劇情也不斷重複，但因為情節緊張，因此最好把句子多練習幾遍，好能在需要快速敘述故事時配合氣氛、一氣呵成。但不要唱獨腳戲，把母雞看見的部位留給孩子說──I see a "nose"....I see a "nose" and two "eyes".....
