從星期一到星期五，貓都想要找老鼠出來玩，可是老鼠每一次都不能出來，因為他若不是要陪媽媽去買菜，就是要幫爸爸刷油漆......到了星期六，老鼠還是很忙，不過，老鼠的弟弟倒是有空，他高興地出來玩，玩什麼呢？貓說玩貓捉老鼠！這下可糟了！

Leo the Late Bloomer
Leo the Late Bloomer, Robert Kraus & Jose Aruego, Harper Collins, 1994成長緩慢的Leo（名字叫做獅子的老虎！）什麼都比別人慢，不但說話說得晚，書不會看，字也不會寫，急得爸爸（不是媽媽，她老神在在）心急如焚，但最後也不得不順其自然。而就在爸爸放棄盯梢的時刻起，Leo開竅了！他不但會說話，而且說一長句，不但會寫字，而且一次用三枝筆寫！當然一旁觀看的爸媽也就鬆了一口氣。
